Express yourself, Express socks. 5 out of 5

I went by express the other day and didn’t even realized they sold socks!!  I should have known though since they sell some pretty nice dress clothes that they would also sell dress socks.  I found out also that they had quite a few on clearance, for $5.99.  They don’t list many clearance socks online, but in store they had quite a few.  They do have a few listed on express.com men’s clearance section.

These are some pretty comfy socks and I highly recommend them.  They had quite a few patterns, probably a dozen different ones at the store I was at and most of them looked great.  These socks go a little higher up than some of my other dress socks, just over halfway up the calf.  Overall, these are pretty high quality and normally retail for 10.99, so if you can grab them for 5.99, that’s a pretty good deal.  I’d give these a 5/5 for quality and level of comfort. And of course what really matters is they have some really awesome patterns.

Pair of Thieves from Target

I was in Target the other day and, as always, looked in to see what socks were there and specifically what socks were on sale. As you may or may not know, Pair of Thieves sells their socks at Target. They normally have a pretty good selection of them, anywhere from six to a dozen, and more importantly quite a few are on sale. I think they normally go for 10-12 dollars but I have always bought them on sale. This time they were on clearance for just over $5.

I’ve always been happy with Pair of Thieves socks and I guess that’s why I look for them almost every time I’m in Target. They are well made and when on sale you can’t really beat the quality for the price. Plus, they have some great patterns, probably some of my favorite.  These two patterns I couldn’t find listed on the Pair of Thieves website, but you may have luck in your local Target or online at target.com. I found both of these pairs there for a clearance price of $5.99, the denin nep stripe and the orange diamonds

Sock of the Week – Deadpool

The pool!!! First, if you haven’t seen the Deadpool movie, go see it! One of the better action hero movies I think, but that is because I’m also a big fan of comedy. These socks have just the right amount of Deadpool, that red so the enemy can’t see ya bleed! These socks seem comfy enough where you could wear them during sports or other activities. These socks are 9.95 (2/11/2017) plus free shipping with Amazon Prime! This seller has quite a few different super hero socks, although Deadpool says he isn’t a super hero, I guess we’ll let that slide since there is free shipping!.

I love me some super hero socks, and these Deadpool ones are close enough. They have a 4.5/5 stars review and look pretty sweet! Let me know what you think!

Sock of the week – Funky Socks

I found these socks through one of my random searches and let me tell you, this seller on Amazon has a TON of great socks! I could hardly decide which ones to feature for this weeks Sock of the Week. The ones I chose are a pretty awesome 6 pack for only 20.99 (2/11/2017), that’s only 3.50 per pair of socks! That’s a pretty good deal!

These socks are also on Amazon Prime, and have 4.5 stars on amazon, so they seem to be pretty good. I like the purple/blue as the other set, black/brown/navy, are a little meh. The blend in these are definitely meant for dress than play, 97% and 3% spandex, and so won’t be too breathable.

This seller also has a few other socks for right around the same price point, with two pair for 9.99 (2/11/2017) also on Prime. They have over 40 different pairs to choose from and most of them are pretty awesome!

I’ll be picking these up in a month or two when I need a few new pairs. If you have them, let me know what you think!

Sock of the Week – Maryland Socks

Being from the state of Maryland and having lived here all my life, I’m pretty fond of our flag. I find that most people from Maryland are a big fan of the flag, with it’s white crosses and Calvert family black and gold pattern. I stumbled across these MD socks and thought they liked pretty awesome so wanted to make sure I posted them for not just everyone else, but so I remember to get a pair too!

Love the look of these socks, especially the grey ones. Although the flag isn’t quite as large as on the white socks, it still stands out and looks better over all I think. The white look good too, but I guess I just like the grey a little more, but then again the gold look pretty spiffy too. I really couldn’t decide which ones I like the most, so all of them are below…

Sock of the Week – Pair of Thieves Dress Socks

First things first, let me tell you that these socks are pretty awesome! See my review of them here, I actually have this exact pair along with one of their others that they sell. They are probably my favorite pair of socks I own, and that is saying alot!

So this weeks sock of the week is a pair from Pair of Thieves, that they call the “spotted mind”. I don’t know about the name, but the socks are pretty comfy and well made. They are 62% combed cotton, 26% polyestor, 6% nylon, 4% natural latex rubber and 2% spandex, and that makes for a pretty snug and comfy fit. You can find them at www.target.com and on the makers site, Pair of Thieves. They sometimes go on sale at Target and you can grab them for pretty cheap which is what I recommend! First things first: These socks are the favorite socks that I own currently. They are almost everything you could ask for in a sock. Now I must say that I have only own the one pair for about 2 or 3 months and have warn them probably 4 times and the other pair is brand new, but still; they are awesome!

Now why are the so awesome? Well, as Pair of Thieves say, “Sneaky Performance”. But really not just that, other things too. But these socks are meant to go from work day to really whatever. You want to go hiking in them? Mountain Biking? Sure, they have you covered. While they seem like your normal dress socks/crew socks, they have some moisture wicking technology in them and keep your feet pretty comfortable. And did I mention they look pretty kick ass too? Cause they do!

The one pair I own I’ve taken from work to play and actually went mountain biking in them and was quite surprised at how they did! They stayed up really well and were super comfy. A normal pair of dress socks would feel way too thin while biking or any other activity, but these held up to the task. Now I didn’t get them wet when I went since I had a pair of water proof shoes on, but they kept my feet dry of sweat.

These are my go to socks when I don’t know what the day ahead holds, or if I know I’m in for a busy day and want to look good and feel comfortable. One of the really cool things about Pair of Thieves socks is they offer men/kids matching pairs! This way you and your little kid can look awesome together! I’m all for that!! You can find these socks at www.pairofthieves.com and also at Target.com. Target has them on sale from time to time and that’s normally when I try to pick them up for 3-5 dollars a pair. You really can’t beat that.

Sock of the Week-Argyle Dress Socks

I was looking for some nice argyle dress socks this weekend and stumbled across dapperganger.com, and found the socks I was looking for! They come in a sleek little package that is worthy of gifting, if you were looking for say, a groomsmen gift or something for a guy friend. They seem like a quality set of socks with a higher cotton content than most, 78% Cotton/20% Polyamide/2% Spandex. Comfort fit and performance is what they say these socks bring to the table. That and a pop of color.

They have four different sets to chooses from on Amazon and thier site, dapperganger.com. They currently only sell socks, so they must be pretty good at making them. Check them out and let me know what you think.

FineFit Socks Review – 4 out of 5

About a year ago, I was looking for some socks and wanted to get something different. I found FineFit Socks on amazon and really liked the variety that they offered and also the fact the it was a pack of 12 socks for only a couple dollars a sock. The price to quantity ratio was where it needed to be and the reviews seemed pretty good so I purchased them.

A year later, I am still wearing them and they are holding up pretty good! With polka dot, striped and argyle, there is something for everyone. I was a little concerned at first when I saw some of the colors of the socks that I received, but they ended up working out just fine. After all, a nice pop to a normal workday clothes can help brighten a day.

The socks did shrink a little bit when they were washed so the fit is a little smaller now but they are still comfortable. With a nice blend of 80% cotton 15% Polyester, and 5% spandex, they fit snug but still let your feet breath. I’ve been able to match most colors in my business casual attire to one of the socks I was given in this pack and couldn’t recommend them enough. They aren’t quite as well made as some socks out there, but for the price it’s worth it, especially if you are looking for more than one or two pairs of awesome socks.

I’ll leave this purchase with a rating of 4/5, just like I left me amazon review of them. If you find yourself in need of a dozen dress socks and end up getting these, let me know your thoughts below!

Sock of the Week – Batman Ankle Socks

This weeks awesome socks are some sweet DC comics ankle socks. They have a pretty good variety in the package, and you get 6 colorful pairs for only 19.97 with free shipping! These socks have Superman, Batman, Robin, the Joker, Wonder woman and Harley Quinn on the tops of the feet. They look pretty awesome and are one of the few variety packs with multiple character socks in them! If you purchase a pair let me know, I’d love to spice up my low cut socks!
