Pair of Thieves Socks Review – 5 out of 5

Pair of Thieves Socks Review – 5 out of 5

First things first: These socks are the favorite socks that I own currently. They are almost everything you could ask for in a sock. Now I must say that I have only own the one pair for about 2 or 3 months and have warn them probably 4 times and the other pair is brand new, but still; they are awesome!

Now why are the so awesome? Well, as Pair of Thieves say, “Sneaky Performance”. But really not just that, other things too. But these socks are meant to go from work day to really whatever. You want to go hiking in them? Mountain Biking? Sure, they have you covered. While they seem like your normal dress socks/crew socks, they have some moisture wicking technology in them and keep your feet pretty comfortable. And did I mention they look pretty kick ass too? Cause they do!

The one pair I own I’ve taken from work to play and actually went mountain biking in them and was quite surprised at how they did! They stayed up really well and were super comfy. A normal pair of dress socks would feel way too thin while biking or any other activity, but these held up to the task. Now I didn’t get them wet when I went since I had a pair of water proof shoes on, but they kept my feet dry of sweat.

These are my go to socks when I don’t know what the day ahead holds, or if I know I’m in for a busy day and want to look good and feel comfortable. They are 62% combed cotton, 26% polyestor, 6% nylon, 4% natural latex rubber and 2% spandex, and that makes for a pretty snug and comfy fit. One of the really cool things about Pair of Thieves socks is they offer men/kids matching pairs! This way you and your little kid can look awesome together! I’m all for that!! The two pair seen above are Land Ho! and Spotted Mind. They were also this weeks sock of the week!

You can find these socks at www.pairofthieves.com and also at Target.com. Target has them on sale from time to time and that’s normally when I try to pick them up for 3-5 dollars a pair. You really can’t beat that.

Sock of the Week-Argyle Dress Socks

I was looking for some nice argyle dress socks this weekend and stumbled across dapperganger.com, and found the socks I was looking for! They come in a sleek little package that is worthy of gifting, if you were looking for say, a groomsmen gift or something for a guy friend. They seem like a quality set of socks with a higher cotton content than most, 78% Cotton/20% Polyamide/2% Spandex. Comfort fit and performance is what they say these socks bring to the table. That and a pop of color.

They have four different sets to chooses from on Amazon and thier site, dapperganger.com. They currently only sell socks, so they must be pretty good at making them. Check them out and let me know what you think.

FineFit Socks Review – 4 out of 5

About a year ago, I was looking for some socks and wanted to get something different. I found FineFit Socks on amazon and really liked the variety that they offered and also the fact the it was a pack of 12 socks for only a couple dollars a sock. The price to quantity ratio was where it needed to be and the reviews seemed pretty good so I purchased them.

A year later, I am still wearing them and they are holding up pretty good! With polka dot, striped and argyle, there is something for everyone. I was a little concerned at first when I saw some of the colors of the socks that I received, but they ended up working out just fine. After all, a nice pop to a normal workday clothes can help brighten a day.

The socks did shrink a little bit when they were washed so the fit is a little smaller now but they are still comfortable. With a nice blend of 80% cotton 15% Polyester, and 5% spandex, they fit snug but still let your feet breath. I’ve been able to match most colors in my business casual attire to one of the socks I was given in this pack and couldn’t recommend them enough. They aren’t quite as well made as some socks out there, but for the price it’s worth it, especially if you are looking for more than one or two pairs of awesome socks.

I’ll leave this purchase with a rating of 4/5, just like I left me amazon review of them. If you find yourself in need of a dozen dress socks and end up getting these, let me know your thoughts below!

Sock of the Week – Batman Ankle Socks

This weeks awesome socks are some sweet DC comics ankle socks. They have a pretty good variety in the package, and you get 6 colorful pairs for only 19.97 with free shipping! These socks have Superman, Batman, Robin, the Joker, Wonder woman and Harley Quinn on the tops of the feet. They look pretty awesome and are one of the few variety packs with multiple character socks in them! If you purchase a pair let me know, I’d love to spice up my low cut socks!

Sock of the Week: I Mustache you a Question!

Happy Holiday’s everyone! Hope you are enjoying the holiday season and any socks you may have received over your specific holiday, be it Kwanzaa, Hanukkah or Christmas! I celebrate Christmas and yesterday got a few pairs of socks in my stocking!! If I can find the brand name, I’ll be sure to post a review of them.

Last year, I got a pair of mustache socks that I really like, they are super comfy, have lasted well over the year and go with quite a few outfits. I’ve worn these socks probably over a dozen times and they are still going strong. They stay up fairly well on their own but aren’t too tight either. I like the simplicity of the socks and the red highlights bring a little something to make them stand out, not to mention the mustaches too!

Let me know what you guys think!

Sock of the Week is Back!!

After a little break, sock of the week is back! And I found some AMAZING star wars socks and with it coming out tonight, what a better time to grab some! Stance has multiple types of star wars socks and they are some of the best ones I’ve seen. They are practical and look pretty comfy (look for a review once my pair come in!).

While I normally focus on crew socks since that is what I wear day to day, I also found some pretty awesome ankle high star wars socks. I couldn’t find either of these brands on Amazon Prime, but for 10 dollars for 5 pairs of star wars socks, you can’t beat it!

Look for next weeks sock of the week, I’m feeling mustaches!

Sock of the week: Merino Hiking Socks

Went hiking two weekends ago on the Appalachian Trail (AT) just for a quick overnight and wore some amazing Merino wool socks. They were light weight, cushioned, REI hiking socks. It rained on the one day and was pretty hot the next, but my feet kept dry. If they did get wet, the socks dried extremely quickly. I wore them both days, just let them air out in the tent and they were good to go the next day. I naturally went looking for a cheaper version and found these Darn Tough awesome socks.

I got these and decided to take a quick day hike to try them out. It was only a 5.5 mile loop, didn’t rain, and was only low 70’s, but they still worked great. Just as comfy, if not a little bit more than my other pair. Merino wool is light and a great alternative to cotton. It keeps warm when it gets wet and also dries pretty quickly. I’d highly recommend these Merino wool Hiking socks. They get the Awesome Socks seal of approval!

Sock of the week: Bazinga!

Just got done watching an episode of the Big Bang Theory, the one with Howard’s Bachelor party, and Sheldon says Bazinga a ton. Made me think about these pretty awesome socks.

There are actually a ton of different versions of Bazinga! socks on Amazon, some prime eligible some not. Some short with 5 to a pack and some with knee high ones. But if you are gonna go knee high, go knee high with a cape. I mean, seriously.

See ya next week!

Sock of the week: Mustache socks

Mustaches make you look like a man or a pedophile, hopefully the former. There’s been a recent uptrend in mustaches on items so I felt these were relevant. The socks themselves are okay, not sure I’m a fan of the yellow, but there are a ton of different varieties to choose from. I found amazon has the best variety, with mustaches on a ton of different colors, blue, pink, green, etc. The choices go on and on! And if you wanted something a little different, they even have honker glasses with a mustache. Ya know, these:.

So what do you think about mustaches in general, or mustaches on things? I don’t think they should be all over the place, but as always, putting interesting things on socks makes them awesome! I think mustaches fit into that category.

Sock of the week: Darth Vader

No…I am your Father.

The classic line from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes back that not even the cast and crew new about! Only a select few on the set knew that line was coming and they say that Luke, played by Mark Hamill, didn’t even know so his scream “NOOOOOOOO!” was real.

But back to the socks!!

This weeks sock of the week is a pair of Darth Vader crew socks. These awesome socks are pretty cheap at $5.99, plus $3.38 shipping (sadly they are not Prime Eligiable). Total cost comes to $9.37 with shipping which is about average it seems for a descent pair of socks.

Amazon has a number of different Darth Vader socks to choose from, 5 to be exact. I like these the best as they show off vader on the side of the sock as opposed to some of the others, which have him on the bottom. This pair also has two stormtroopers behind vader, and without their inaccurate shooting, the movies wouldn’t be the same, so of course they have to be there!

I’ll be getting a pair of star wars socks soon and will be sure to post a review of the ones I get, to either recommend them or to avoid them.

If you like these socks, let me know! I know there are quite a few variations out there and if you like another pair better, please tell me!
